Here at 5Point Credit Union, you make us the organization we are today. Whether you’re one of our great members or one of the many wonderful people who make up the areas we serve, we’re grateful to be part of your community. That’s why, to thank you for 90 years and counting, you may see our team members out and about performing 5Point’s Random Acts of Kindness.
These are tokens of our appreciation meant to brighten your day. You don’t have to be a 5Point member to take part in the celebration – we’re just happy to have you in the community! 2026 Kindness Projects
January - We’re starting the year with a slice of kindness! In celebration of National Pizza Week, our team gave out gift cards to local pizza places. Supporting local and spreading kindness, one slice at a time–That’s the Point!
February - Kindness showed up in so many meaningful ways during Random Acts of Kindness Week. From handwritten notes to nursing home visits, and a surprise gift basket winner, our community made it special. Thank you for spreading #5PointKindness with us.
March - Oh, the places kindness will go! We celebrated National Read Across America Day in honor of Dr. Seuss’s birthday by organizing book drop-offs at various Little Free Libraries and distributing books at our branches. A single book can spark a big dream, and we love being part of that story.
April - In honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, 5Point focused on kindness by supporting two organizations making a difference for children in our community, CASA of Southeast Texas, Inc., and Yes to Youth - Montgomery County Youth Services. As part of our ongoing commitment to kindness, we’re grateful to continue finding ways to give back where it matters most. Kindness. That's the Point.
May - Fueling the minds that shape the future! That's the Point. We were out and about, bringing a little extra sweetness and a whole lot of appreciation, celebrating the educators who make a difference every single day by pouring into their students, their classrooms, and their communities in ways that truly matter. Just a small refreshment to say a big thank you for all you do and for the kindness you show every day.
June - Serving up sweet treats and even sweeter smiles all summer long! We hit the community with free ice cream and sno cones to help everyone cool off, brighten their day, and spread a little extra kindness along the way. Nothing beats a cold treat on a hot Texas day!
July - A little BBQ, a little kindness, and a lot of good vibes! We showed some love to our communities at a few of our favorite local BBQ spots! It was a day full of good food and great people! That's the Point.
