Here at 5Point Credit Union, you make us the organization we are today. Whether you’re one of our great members or one of the many wonderful people who make up the areas we serve, we’re grateful to be part of your community. That’s why, to thank you for 90 years and counting, you may see our team members out and about performing 5Point’s Random Acts of Kindness.
These are tokens of our appreciation meant to brighten your day. You don’t have to be a 5Point member to take part in the celebration – we’re just happy to have you in the community! So, if you see one of our #5PointKindness t-shirts around town, stop and say hi. We’re always thrilled to share a conversation, a smile and a little bit of kindness with the neighborhoods where we live and work.

2025 Kindness Projects
January - No better way to kickstart the new year than with some #5PointKindness! We spread a little love by handing out gift cards to local smoothie and juice bars, helping everyone crush their health goals and sip their way into a fresh start!
February - As a part of #5PointKindness, we rolled up our sleeves and joined the community to help rebuild Tugboat Island! Our employees spent the day volunteering, working hard, and giving back to make this dream a reality.
March - Tackling hunger with #5PointKindness because THAT’S THE POINT!
Our team had the opportunity to volunteer at the Southeast Texas Food Bank, packing food boxes for those in need.
April - Paws up for kindness! Our employees spent the day spreading kindness in honor of National Pet Day. We surprised pet lovers with gift cards at local pet stores and handed out cat and dog treats in our branches!
May - Teachers pour their hearts into their students every single day, and we had the chance to give a little love back! We provided cookies and goodies to local teachers to thank them for the impact they make in and out of the classroom. We appreciate you!
June - Kindness never tasted so good! We handed out free snocones in the Southeast Texas area and scooped up ice cream in North Houston to beat the heat. Keeping our communities cool and smiling—that's the point.
July - Kindness is always in season—especially in July! We served up summer vibes with a BBQ giveaway and handed out popsicle koozies at all our branches to help everyone chill through the heat. Just one more way we’re keeping kindness cool all summer long!
August - We celebrated the heart of the classroom—our teachers! As part of #5PointKindness, we randomly selected 10 amazing teachers to have their Amazon Wish Lists fulfilled. We were thrilled to help check items off their list so they can kick off the school year with everything they need!
September - Coffee and kindness go hand in hand. Our September #5PointKindness brought all the fall vibes with free coffee! Whether it's a morning boost or a mid-day pick-me-up, 5Point is always here to help our members move forward. That's the Point.
October - Together, we can make the journey a little brighter. We were grateful to provide care boxes, snacks, and refreshments at CHRISTUS St. Elizabeth's Women's Center and Canopy Cancer Survivorship Center to spread care and encouragement.
November - Kindness can show up when you least expect it! To celebrate World Kindness Day our team hid gas cards and grocery cards throughout the community to brighten someone’s day and lend a helping hand right when it’s needed most. That’s the Point.
