COVID-19 Information

For additional information about COVID-19, please visit the CDC website.

Credit reports are now free, every week.

If you’re feeling anxious about your financial health during these uncertain times, you’re not alone. That’s why the three national credit reporting agencies are giving people weekly access to monitor their credit report — for free. Click here for more information.

COVID-19 Scam Alerts

Scammers are gathering personal information by pretending to be contact tracers.

People who had contact with someone infected with COVID-19 may first get a text message from the health department, telling them they’ll get a call from a specific number. The tracer who calls will not ask for personal information, like a Social Security number. Click here to learn more.

Scammers are using the current Coronavirus situation to take advantage of consumers in a vulnerable time. As you may have seen, the Federal Government is working on legislation that will send funds via direct deposit or check to each of us. Here are some important reminders:
  • The government will not ask you to pay anything up front to get this money;
  • They will not ask you for your social security number or other personal info;
  • Anyone who tells you they can get you the money NOW, is a scammer.

At 5Point Credit Union, we want to make sure you stay alert and aware. If you think you have been a victim of identity theft or fraud, it is important to take immediate action. Click here to visit our Fraud Information page.
