This benefit enables you to protect your debit and credit cards or other important documents such as driver’s licenses, passports, and birth certificates, in the event they are lost or stolen at home or abroad. There is no limit to the number of cards or documents you may register and our coverage begins the moment your completed registration is received and processed.

When your card is registered through Card Registration services and it’s been lost or stolen, you can take advantage of the Travel Assurance Services Emergency Cash Advance benefit. Just call a Discover Benefits customer service representative at 1-877-493-6273 and they can walk you through the process and arrange to wire you the emergency cash from your 5Point account. When your card is registered through Card Registration services and it’s been lost or stolen when you’re at least 100 miles from home, simply call a Discover® Benefits customer service representative at 1-877-493-6273 who can walk you through arranging approval for a prepaid one-way emergency plane ticket home. Discover® Debit offers merchant acceptance at 25.5 million locations. If you encounter a merchant that does not accept Discover®, we encourage you to send an email providing the name and address of the merchant to Discover® at discover@5pointcu.org.
Discover® employs stringent security requirements, including 100% authorization on all transactions. Discover® also offers fraud-prevention and data-security tools that help 5Point cardholders minimize losses from fraudulent activities.
First call Discover® Benefits at 1-877-493-6273 to report the incident. Next, contact the credit bureaus to place a fraud alert on your credit report. File a police report and follow all procedures for recovery. Exclusions apply; please refer to the full Terms and Conditions listed in your Benefits Guide.
